Dynamic balance
As important as self-knowledge is also getting to know the people with whom we relate, because their gaze on us is valuable, as well as our gaze on them is valuable for them, after all, we, in the human realm, are social beings.
We are social beings, but we want to be recognizably unique and original individuals, and in this eagerness we forget how much we depend on each other, and in our independence anxiety, we systematically spoil social interdependence.
This dynamic balance between independence and interdependence is the most important equation we have to resolve, one that no pedagogical system in civilization is willing to include in the educational process, despite the fact that we are in the 21st century.
