 PURE HEART

If our humanity, decisively and with purity of heart, evoked divine intervention so that the world works, promoting the common well-being of all people, or at least, always aiming for the well-being of the greatest possible number of people, we would be served promptly and we would inaugurate an unusual new era in the administration of the world.

But, our heart is not pure enough for this to happen, our heart is tainted by the selfish desire to make distinctions of superiority and inferiority among the people of the earth, and our heart is impure because we intend for the spiritual kingdom to solve for us what only we can and must resolve, and because we are willing to remedy our own mistakes, at best divine intervention would only serve to stop wasting time on futile distractions and dedicate ourselves diligently to building the world we so long for.

Our humanity, however, does not have purity of heart, it is clouded by the turpitude of its greed, and although we turn to the heavenly beings for help, we do not take this action in the name of protecting the entire human kingdom, but from our private, self-centered and selfish interests, which is why we do not have purity of heart.

And how do you purify the heart?

With a lot of loving realism, giving up separativity and assuming mutual respect between all human beings with understanding and impartiality in our judgments regarding what happens.

The heart is not purified with water, fire or any elements of nature, because purification does not reside in the relationship with the external world, purification happens to the same extent that we commune with the Divine, and we act as the Divinity would do.
