MODERN SPIRITUALITY
The other day, in the midst of so much unnecessary nonsense that appears on social media, to which we indulge by inertia, the speech of a young and very beautiful woman caught my attention, who in front of a microphone and camera, under a bright light, treated with disdain and mocked the spirituality that people seek in harmony, light, peace and comfort, with that air of superiority and irony that only people who are mistaken, but determined to be right, can assume, because, she stated, true spirituality could only be found in the shadows, enduring the hardship of experiencing what is most abject and despicable in our humanity.
I spoke to myself, but addressing her, your speech demonstrates your mistake, because if you imagine that the spiritual path is exclusively for the strong, for those who demonstrate superiority by walking through the shadows naturally, you have not invented anything new, you are just one of the long line of sectarians and bankrupt alchemists in the futile struggle to transform lead into gold, and I said to myself, I prefer a thousand times millions of tacky people praying with good and naive will, sincerely vulnerable under the pressure of the reigning ignorance, than a bunch of beautiful and hulking perverts thinking they are great for enduring hell.
There are things that can and should be said, there are things that can be said but shouldn't, and there are things that should be said but can't. What is certain is that in words there is a power that needs to be rescued.
