Quiroga - 226

 THAT'S HOW THINGS ARE

That's how things are, there are destinies and procedures that, no matter how ridiculous and abominable they seem to us, continue to happen anyway.

For example, no matter how much you strive to make your work more qualified or how much you perfect your techniques until your performance is brilliant and irrefutable, it is certain that there will be someone out there willing to devalue your efforts and who will do their best. to make you feel bad.

As ridiculous as this may be, this is how things are, because the neurotic human being (we are all neurotics, to different extents) is internally devoured by the disappointing existence he experiences, and senses threats on all sides, feels inferior and forced to defending (attacking), because he is afraid that the brightness of other people will contrast with his presence and make his own recalcitrant darkness evident.

The neurotic could, eventually, take advantage of the luminous encounter to overcome his limitations, but instead, he sets out to sink what is above until he levels everything below and, thus, by neurotic summation, our civilization remains mediocre.

By inertia we are all envious and jealous, but as a result of good will put into practice, we are completely capable of transforming envy into generosity, because behind every sin there is a virtue that gives meaning to its existence.

Acting with total detachment for the fruit of action does not seem like something within the reach of our humanity, because our fuel is desires, and in the belly of these there is always an attachment to the satisfaction of fulfilling them. Or not?
