RELATIONSHIP WITH DIVINITY
The most common and usual relationship we establish with Divinity is based on our suffering, our needs, our impotence, turning towards Him in an attempt to compensate for these conditions.
When we raise our prayers to the Divine, we ask ourselves if we are heard, but the question of whether we are also capable of hearing the prayers that the Divine addresses to us, in an attempt, even to guide us to respond to our requests and supplications, absolutely never crosses our hearts.
Because we are so self-centered and selfish, conditions that become even more accentuated when we suffer (I will explain this), we become indifferent to the reality of needing to build a relationship with the Divine, which we turn to when we feel ill and lose control over reality, and we set it aside when we regain control.
The Divine is definitely not there to satisfy our whims, but to lead us to the work that we can and should do.
Now for the explanation of how we are more selfish than usual when we suffer. Unfortunately, and despite not wanting to accept even the mention of this truth, we suffer because our view of reality narrows enough that there is no room for anything other than suffering, and no matter how horrible suffering is, we cling to it as if it were of great value. There, i said it.
It's not that celestial beings don't have compassion for us or that they're unavailable to help us, but it's about understanding that we put ourselves in suffering as a result of a type of ignorance that we need to resolve on our own, because if that's not the case, we will never understand how the Universe, that we so want to embrace, works.
