COLISEUM AUDIENCE
There are times when it becomes necessary to make serious and difficult decisions, because among all the options available, there is none that fails to cause problematic side effects, only alternatives with which the soul does not feel any sympathy, finding itself obliged to, perhaps , choose the one that causes the least suffering.
Only those who are involved in the dilemma know the level of stress that this causes, and they also know that this stress worsens in the same proportion as, on the outside, the moralists on duty are quick to criticize the performance without considering the gravity of the situation, professing with wonderful simplicity what must be done, because the action taken by those on the front line would never be ideal.
These moralists on duty, so common in all existential and family spheres, seem to me to be incarnations of the group of those who were in the audience at the Coliseum, those who were rooting for one another to be torn apart, criticizing with sporting expertise the gladiators who were defeated.
