 HUMAN NEUROSIS

Our humanity cries out to heaven for suffering to decrease, and it does so with vigor and determination, seeming that, in fact, it wants to get rid of pain and experience the joy of levitating carefree in the infinite Universe, but our relationship with suffering is ambiguous. and paradoxical, because we both want to free ourselves from and also cling to suffering, and this for the simple reason that, living with pain and different types of anguish so frequently, these conditions become familiar, and everything that is familiar comforts, for however horrible it may be, and there's more!, pain seems to be the only intense and true experience that we have as a reference, the only one that resists the trivialization or profanation with which we treat all other experiences, and as pain ends up being the truth experience we have, it is normal for us to cling to what we consider valuable while easily letting go of what we do not value.

If there is attachment to suffering, even if it seems otherwise because we perform maneuvers to free ourselves from it, it is because we value suffering, and because we value it we cling to it, in an endless vicious circuit, resulting in the ineffectiveness of our maneuvers and prayers. , and the consequent victory of suffering, imagining that it is suffering that does not let go of us, while the truth is that we do not let go of suffering.
