It is very common, when an inconvenience appears in a part of the body - a "disease", such as a headache, cancer, etc. - for the person to rush to a doctor to get a medicine to suppress that symptom which, in reality, it is an effort by the body to heal something in itself. Therefore, the best option would be not to hinder the body in its healing process.
It is a FACT known to everyone that a dog, when he has a serious health problem, refuses the food offered to him, that is, he fasts. We should imitate the dog, fasting when an acute illness appears. This way, energy would not be spent digesting food, which would be directed, in this situation, to curing the disease.
It is a FACT known to everyone that a delicate wildflower receives sun throughout the day, from dawn to dusk, and remains beautiful, healthy and fragrant in this condition. The sun provides the energy of life for all living beings on this planet. The sun is our friend and not our enemy, as doctors try to convince us (use sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.). So help your body rid itself of disease by exposing your skin and eyes to the life-giving light of the sun for as long as possible.
It is a FACT known to everyone that all living beings on this planet (animals and vegetables) maintain continuous electrical contact with the Earth's soil, vegetables through their roots and animals through their bare feet. The human being is the only living being that isolates itself (through shoes) from the ground and, as a consequence, is plagued by diseases. We should, therefore, connect ourselves electrically to the ground (which is full of electrical charges) by walking barefoot or lying naked on the ground (next to a swimming pool, for example), so that Mother Earth can feed us electrically and heal us from all the evils.

The Sugar You Eat Ages Your Face: How To Reverse The “Sugar Sag” In Your Skin
Last week I blogged about healthy party foods that you can find at almost every holiday gathering — hop over here if you want to be armed with a list of my top 5 party foods that I reach for before heading into your holiday parties and New Years Eve celebrations.
And just to be clear — chocolate is one of my go-to foods on that party list. And yes I know there is sugar in chocolate. However, excess sugar and simple carbs are just not that great for you. In chocolate or in any other foods.
We all know (and you definitely know if you have followed my blog over the years!) that sugar and gluten are both very inflammatory — to the point where some research suggests that dementia may be correlated with carb consumption, as I blog about here:
So it’s fair to say not much surprises me when I read negative studies on the impact of simple carbs (like those found in sugar and white flour) as well as the negative health effects of artificial sweeteners… so substituting in artificial sweeteners in an effort to reduce sugar intake is not a good idea. (More on what is a good idea below!)

But today’s medical literature review on a surprising negative health effect of sugar really did surprise me.
Did you know consuming excess sugar can actually have a cosmetic effect that can be seen in your face?
Consuming sugar can actually make you look older — creating wrinkles, sallow skin, discoloration of the skin, and loss of firmness and elasticity. All known as “sugar sag.”
After going through the effort to sticking with natural and holistic beauty products, hydrating well, avoiding photoaging your face, taking high quality supplements, etc… you may be undoing a lot of what you do to maintain healthy skin just by eating sugar. YUCK.
Many studies confirm just how much eating sugar ages our skin. Studies like:
Basically, sugar create advanced glycation end products (AGEs) which accumulate in the body, including the skin, and are associated with many diseases of inflammation and aging, like diabetes, heart disease, cataracts and dementia.
In the skin, AGEs create an abnormal cross linking of collagen which makes it difficult to repair, leading to aging effects that accumulate over time… since this abnormally cross linked collagen isn’t capable of being renewed or repaired, it leads to a decrease in skin elasticity, wrinkles, and even the advanced accumulation of age spots and skin discoloration… all together, something you can notice in the skin as the dreaded “sugar sag”.
Gah, what to do about it?
Luckily there are lots of things you can do can dramatically boost your skin’s health!!! Here is a great overview of tips to help your skin remain firm and youthful, all rooted in medical research.
Recent studies have found a direct correlation between sleep and collagen integrity, suggesting that beauty sleep is real. In this one (published Jan 202o in Nature Cell Biology) researchers found that poor sleep actually caused a decrease in the structural integrity of collagen with an increase in collagen misalignment.
So over a lifetime, decreased sleep quality may literally be visible in your skin as your collagen becomes more misaligned, weaker, less elastic, and contributes to accelerated aging.
Conversely, improving sleep over a lifetime helps boost skin healing and even boosts anti-aging benefits by improving collagen integrity and skin repair while you sleep. This is directly the opposite of what sugar does to your collagen and so is a very important first step in decreasing “sugar sag.”

Here is something new I learned — self tanners actually create ACEs in the skin — that is how they turn skin brown and create the appearance of a tan.
Self tanners are a glycation product, it’s actually a sugar that binds to skin proteins in the stratum corneum (the top layer of our skin) and through glycation turns the skin brown. In fact, originally self tanners were created as a sugar substitute in the 1920s but were never used because they turned the mouth mucosa brown!
The good news is that this glycation reaction occurs on the dead top layer of the skin, so may affect skin elasticity and aging less than an internally consumed sugar might. However, the bad news is we don’t really know what cumulative effect self tanners have and it is likely to contribute, even if in small amounts, to “sugar sag” and other cosmetic signs of skin aging over time.
So save the self tanner for special events instead of routine use — that’s what I try to do — and if you do use it, be sure to apply self tanner in the morning so you can wash it off in the evening… don’t leave self tanner on your skin overnight.
Both smoking and vaping create AGEs that accumulate in the body and promote aging. This is just one way that smoking increases the rates of lung disease, cardiovascular disease and cataracts.
In terms of skin, these AGEs might be one of the reasons that smoking is associated with a yellowing of the skin, as well as advanced wrinkling and decreased skin elasticity.
In fact, this study (published in Althlerosclerosis, Thrombosis and Vascular Biology, 2022) found that vaping actually creates a higher concentration of glycation end products in the body than even smoking does.
Clear evidence that a simple vitamin can be cancer preventive: Vitamin B3 dramatically reduces skin cancer rates. Presented at the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) 2015 Annual Meeting in May 2014, Vitamin B3 has been shown to be a safe, effective way to reduce your risk of recurrent skin cancer.
Researchers looked at over 380 patients with a prior history of non-melanoma skin cancers, giving half nicotinamide supplements and half a placebo, and followed them for a year. They found the patients in the Vitamin B3 group had a quarter less skin cancers total (a 23% decrease) than control patients:
Niacinamide (Vit B3, also known as Nicotinamide) enhances DNA repair in skin cells damaged by UV light, as well as boosts the immune system and prevents the suppression of immunity by ultraviolet radiation. Consuming less sugar is hard, especially if you are used to eating sugary foods, as sugar is highly addictive. A study published by the National Center for Health Statistics, found that on any given day, over 1/3 of all adults in america aged 40 – 59 years old (37%) are consuming fast food. One out of three! That’s 85 million adults eating fast food on any given day.
And sadly, for younger Americans that number is even higher — almost half of Americans (45%) aged 20 – 45 years old are eating fast food on any given day. One out of every two of us, every single day.
Wowza.
This makes me feel sad for hard working Americans who are so beyond stressed that they have little choice but to drive through fast food between jobs in order to have something to eat.
This makes me feel angry at corporate America, who lures consumers in on taste and does not give a crap about their long term health, all so a few folks at the top can be so wealthy it’s almost unfathomable. Corporate America is tricking customers to trade in their health for convenience and taste. They know that close to half of our country is eating this “food” that has poor nutritional content and they are laughing all the way to the bank.
This makes me feel completely defeated as a health care provider, because I know that the only way this will change is for there to be a complete restructuring of government programs to provide actual nutritional support to its citizens. That will require legislative, structural & policy changes that prioritizes the health of it’s citizens (instead of health being a corporate venture) as well as dramatically raising wages so that everyone is able to have a decent quality of life… enough that it’s possible to slow down and prepare decent quality of food.
It also means that we need to figure out a way to make high quality food — like organic produce — much less expensive.
Damn. After reading that study, I sat down to make a list of foods that are so quick and easy to prepare that many don’t even require cooking and absolutely all of them provide more nutrition for your body than a fast food meal does.
Here is what I have come up with so far. Your skin is always speaking to you.

Double-check that you say no when you need to and have clear boundaries that allow you to do what you truly want to do and enjoy that without guilt.

Winter Sleep: 12 Ways To Hibernate Now For A Deep Reset Before Spring
We live our lives mostly insulated from the earth (wearing rubber-soled shoes, living indoors, driving in our cars, etc). Over time, this causes our bodies to become depleted. Good health leads to longevity and a good quality of life. The Brazilian longevity champions, Maria Olívia da Silva (130 years old) and Maria do Carmo Gerônimo (129 years old) were rich in health and poor in money.
1. United Nations (UN) statistics show that in all nations of the world, without exception, women live, on average, longer than men. There are therefore many more widows than widowers in all countries. Why? The human body is sustained by energy. During the 24 hours of the day, women capture more energy than men, even when both are in the same environment. Why? I taught the discipline of Electromagnetic Antennas at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp). One of the analyzed antennas was the filamentary antenna. A characteristic of this antenna is that the greater its length, the greater its efficiency in capturing electromagnetic energy from the environment. A practical example: in the old days, cars had telescopic antennas (of adjustable length) and to have a good signal (energy) reception in the car radio, the antenna had to be adjusted to have its maximum length. Our hair and beards are filamentary antennas: the longer they are, the more they capture electromagnetic energy from the environment. Since, in all countries of the world, women have longer hair than men, they are more energized during all day. Therefore, since women are better connected with the environment (with God), they have better health and intuition. Remember the biblical story of Samson and Delilah. My maternal grandmother never cut her hair: she lived 100 years. If you stop cutting your beard and hair, you will have zero expenses with a barber and hairdresser.
2. Jesus: “Life comes only from life, and from death comes only death. I like to read this phrase of Jesus as follows: “Life and health come only from living things, and from dead things come only disease and death”. You are only alive right now because a living thing (your father) had contact with another living thing (your mother) without using a condom or pill (a dead thing). A living tree can only grow and be supported by something living, the earth's soil. The contact of a body with the ground is called grounding. All beings in the plant world and the animal world remain grounded throughout the day, with the exception of the hominal world. We isolate ourselves from Mother Earth when we wear shoes and when we sleep on top of a bed. Our body is an electrical (actually electromagnetic) machine that works by moving electrical charges within it. When we ground ourselves, the electrical charges in our body balance with the electrical charges present in the ground, generating a healthy condition. The Brazilian longevity champion, Maria do Carmo Gerônimo (129 years old), never wore shoes, she always walked barefoot. According to the UN, Japan is the country with the longest-lived population, because of the Japanese tradition of walking barefoot indoors. I have an aunt with a leg problem called erysipelas: after three days of walking barefoot on the beach, her symptoms disappear. During the day you might be grounded by going barefoot, and at night you might be grounded by sleeping on the floor next to your bed. You may have already noticed that practically 100% of the people on this planet die lying on a bed. Another way to ground yourself while you sleep is to use a conductive wire connecting the soles of your feet to a metal bar stuck in the ground in your backyard (similar to the apparatus used to make an electrocardiogram, ECG). When you are grounded, you protect yourself from the electromagnetic pollution present in the environment by sending this harmful energy into the ground. You will be functioning as a lightning rod. 3. The Sun is responsible for plant, animal and human life on this planet. Without the sun there would be no life on Earth's surface. Sun is energy and life! The less solar radiation we receive, the sicker and weaker we are. Therefore, expose as much of your skin to the sun's rays for as long as possible to cure or prevent disease. Our bodies were designed to live in sunny environments near the equator. In Brazil, the states with the lowest mortality rate are Acre and Rio Grande do Norte, both close to the equator. The race with the shortest longevity on the planet are the Eskimos, who live in a cold environment, close to the North Pole. There are numerous therapies that are based on the sun: heliotherapy, ultraviolet (UV) therapy, light medicine, etc. You pay nothing to expose yourself to the sun, doing solar therapy. Get started today!
4. Our God-made body has arms and legs that must be moved regularly. One way to do this is to walk to school or work. If the distance is too long, buy a bike and ride. This way you won't chemically pollute the atmosphere with your car, you won't need to go to the gym to exercise, you'll get a vitalizing sun and you'll reduce to zero your expenses with transportation during the week. Another good way to exercise is to practice swimming; be embraced by the Angel of Water, as Jesus said. People who swim regularly have better health and live longer.
5. We live in a fully electrified society. This generates great electromagnetic pollution in the air that surrounds us. Our physical body is also an electrical mechanism, moving electrical charges within it through innate electrical fields. Interference between external electromagnetic pollution and the natural electromagnetic fields within our body can lead to the emergence of many health problems. How to reduce this problem? I have two suggestions.
First: Walk barefoot at home (and at work/school if you spend most of your time sitting behind a table/desk). In this way, you will be behaving like a lightning rod system, diverting all the electromagnetic pollution that hits you towards the ground. The Brazilian longevity champion, Maria do Carmo Gerônimo (129 years old), has always walked barefoot. Japan is the champion country of longevity because of the tradition of everyone going barefoot indoors. I took some measurements and found that wearing socks does not greatly affect grounding through the soles of the feet.
Second: When you go to sleep, turn off your cell phone and go to your home's electricity panel and turn off the main switch to zero your home's electricity consumption while you sleep. You will have a more peaceful and restful sleep. If you want to keep your refrigerator running while you sleep, proceed as follows: keep the main circuit breaker on and turn off all other circuit breakers, with the exception of the circuit breaker that feeds the refrigerator. This scheme can be used when you leave home to work/study and no one stays at home. Proceeding in this way, you will have a substantial reduction in the expenses with the monthly light bill and you will be making a personal contribution to reduce the electromagnetic pollution of your region. In addition to contributing to improving your health, you will also be happier, with a much cheaper electricity bill.

6. The human physical body, being a divine construction, has the ability to self-regenerate itself, if given the proper condition. The necessary condition for this is called fasting. Why? Because, when there is no food in the stomach, all the body's energy is directed towards organic cleansing, with a view to restoring ideal, perfect health. Watch the animals: when they are in poor health, they stop eating, that is, they fast. You also fast every day when you go to sleep at night. Typically, you go to bed tired, fast for many hours and wake up refreshed. Interesting what happens in English language: the word for fasting (fast) also means "quick", which suggests that the fastest way to regain health is through fasting. In many languages, the first meal of the day refers to the overnight fasting: desjejum (Portuguese), desayuno (Spanish), breakfast (English), etc. By practicing fasting, you zero out (or, at least, reduce) your food expenses. For starters, you can extend your overnight fasting period by skipping the morning meal.
Old castles in Europe do not have bathrooms with toilets (Please, I ask my European readers to confirm this in the Comments). Why? Because their residents (usually giants) did not urinate and defecate. Why? Because they fed only on air, that is, they were breatharians. In Brazil, we would say that they "lived on the breeze". Air is our main food, we cannot go more than five minutes without it. The saying goes: eat little and live long. They say: eat or die. Wrong: Don't eat and live.
7. To achieve perfect health, Jesus recommends that we be embraced daily by four living angels of the Earthly Mother: Angel of Air, Angel of Water, Angel of Solar Light and Angel of Earth.
Jesus also taught two prayers: Our Father (which everyone knows) and Our Mother (which few know). Here is Our Mother:
Our Mother which art upon earth, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, and thy will be done in us, as it is in thee. As thou sendest every day thy angels, send them to us also. Forgive us our sins, as we atone all our sins against thee. And lead us not into sickness, but deliver us from all evil, for thine is the earth, the body, and the health. Amen
By following the above recommendations, we will be rich in health and money, and we will be immortal...
