Quiroga - 163

WE DON'T KNOW WHAT WE DO

It is virtually impossible to reach old age without having made some enmities, even though it seems to us that we have done nothing to deserve them.

It's just that, in one way or another, our civilization is built on convictions such that the interests of some end up colliding with the interests of other people, and due to the civilized law of competition and adaptation of the most intelligent, there would not be room for everyone, hence that, inevitably, there must be enemies, even if we politely call them adversaries.

In addition to this type of enmity, there is another that is more irrational, that of enmities that develop around passions such as jealousy, envy, greed and, even those with people who simply don't like our face, our way, and use their temporary power to disrupt our path, exercising their inalienable right to express themselves freely.

Let us bless our enemies and let us also bless the potential enmity we will have towards someone who will probably never know the real reason we behave this way.

Let us bless our knowledge and our ignorance, because if we see ourselves from the point of view of the functioning of the cosmogonic powers that structure everything and everyone, and in which we move and are, it becomes evident that we do not know what we are doing, and we need to treat ourselves as disabled.
